Individual therapy, also known as talk therapy or psychotherapy, is a one-on-one collaborative process between a client and a licensed mental health professional. It provides a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences in a way that promotes healing, growth, and positive change.
Whether you're navigating a specific challenge or seeking deeper self-understanding, individual therapy offers the support and tools needed to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Each session is tailored to your unique needs, goals, and pace. In the beginning, your therapist will work with you to identify what you’d like to focus on; this could be anything from managing anxiety, improving relationships, healing from trauma, or building self-esteem.
Over time, through conversation, evidence-based techniques, and guided reflection, you’ll gain new insights, build coping strategies, and make meaningful changes in your everyday life. Therapy can be short-term or long-term depending on your goals and progress.
Improved emotional regulation and mental clarity
Healthier relationships and communication skills
Increased self-awareness and personal insight
Better stress management and coping strategies
Relief from symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and more
Support through life transitions, grief, or loss

Individual therapy is for anyone seeking support, clarity, or growth. It can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want to better understand yourself. Whether you’re dealing with a specific mental health diagnosis, facing life stressors, or looking to explore personal development, individual therapy meets you where you are and helps you get to where you want to be.
Family therapy is a type of counseling that involves multiple family members working together with a licensed therapist to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. It’s based on the idea that families are systems, and what affects one person often affects the whole group. Family therapy provides a safe, structured space where each person can feel heard, understood, and supported.
Rather than placing blame, family therapy focuses on collaboration, healthy boundaries, and creating a deeper sense of connection and understanding within the family unit.
In family therapy, the therapist guides the conversation, helping each member share their thoughts, feelings, and concerns respectfully and constructively. The process may involve all members at once or in smaller groups, depending on the situation.
Together, you'll explore relationship dynamics, identify patterns that may be causing tension or disconnection, and work toward creating healthier ways to interact. Sessions are solution-focused and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on mutual respect, empathy, and lasting change.
Improved communication and conflict resolution
Healthier family roles, expectations, and boundaries
Greater empathy and understanding between members
Support through major life transitions (divorce, illness, relocation, etc.)
Stronger emotional bonds and sense of unity
A safe space to address grief, trauma, behavioral issues, or mental health struggles
Tools to cope with stress together, rather than alone
Family therapy is ideal for families of all shapes and sizes, parents and children, siblings, blended families, extended relatives, and more. It’s especially helpful if your family is:
Struggling with communication or frequent conflict.
Navigating a major change or loss.
Supporting a member dealing with mental health or behavioral challenges.
Feeling disconnected or emotionally distant.
Interested in building stronger, more supportive relationships.
Whether you're facing a specific issue or just want to improve how your family functions, family therapy helps bring everyone together to heal, grow, and thrive together.
Couples therapy, also known as relationship counseling or marriage counseling, is a type of therapy designed to help partners improve their relationship, deepen their connection, and work through challenges together.
Whether you're dating, engaged, married, or in a long-term partnership, couples therapy provides a safe and supportive space to strengthen your bond and build a healthier future together.
In couples therapy, both partners meet with a licensed therapist to explore the dynamics of their relationship. The therapist serves as a neutral guide, helping each person express their thoughts and emotions openly, without judgment. You'll work together to identify patterns, improve communication, rebuild trust, and find new ways to connect and support each other.
Therapy is tailored to your specific relationship needs and goals, whether you're navigating conflict, facing a major life transition, or simply want to grow stronger as a team.
Improved communication and active listening skills
Healthier conflict resolution and problem-solving
Healing trust after it has been broken
Strengthening emotional and physical intimacy
Gaining clarity on shared goals and values
Support through transitions like marriage, parenthood, or relocation
A deeper understanding of each other’s needs and perspectives
Couples therapy is for any pair who wants to build a stronger, more connected relationship, no matter the stage or circumstance. It can be especially helpful if you're:
Arguing frequently or struggling to communicate effectively.
Feeling distant or disconnected from your partner.
Working through infidelity, trust issues, or past hurts.
Facing life changes that are creating stress in the relationship.
Interested in premarital counseling to lay a solid foundation.
Looking to grow closer and better understand one another.
Every relationship has its ups and downs; what matters is how you work through them. Couples therapy is a powerful step toward deeper connection, mutual respect, and lasting love.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based, structured form of psychotherapy that helps people process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR focuses on changing the way traumatic memories are stored in the brain, allowing you to move past the emotional and physical distress associated with them.
Originally developed to treat PTSD, EMDR is now widely used to support healing from a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, grief, and more.
EMDR therapy uses bilateral stimulation (most commonly, guided eye movements, tapping, or sound) to help the brain reprocess disturbing memories and experiences. While focusing briefly on a traumatic memory, the therapist guides you through this stimulation, which helps reduce the emotional charge of the memory and allows new, healthier associations to form.
The process typically follows eight structured phases, including assessment, preparation, desensitization, and reprocessing. Over time, painful memories lose their intensity, and you gain greater clarity, emotional regulation, and relief.
Reduced emotional distress from past trauma or painful memories
Decreased symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, panic, or depression
Improved emotional regulation and stress response
Enhanced self-worth and belief systems
Faster results compared to traditional talk therapy for many individuals
A sense of resolution, closure, and peace
EMDR is especially effective for individuals who have experienced:
Trauma (past or recent), including PTSD or complex trauma.
Childhood abuse, neglect, or attachment wounds.
Anxiety, panic attacks, or phobias.
Grief or complicated loss.
Sexual assault or domestic violence.
Accidents, medical trauma, or natural disasters.
Low self-esteem rooted in past experiences.
If you feel “stuck” in a pattern of emotional pain or distress that traditional therapy hasn’t fully resolved, EMDR may offer the breakthrough you’ve been looking for. It’s a powerful, research-backed method to help you heal deeply and move forward, without reliving the past again and again.
